Do you want to get away from your hectic lifestyle or simply to want to experience the slow pace of life in Rural Inland Spain?

Paz Y Calma is a family-run Bed and Breakfast (B&B) inn above the village of Castril which offers 2 double rooms and 2 twin rooms a sun terrace and garden looking out over the Valley. Behind us are the mountains of the Sierra de Castril Natural Park. On clear days views stretch towards the Jablacon and onto the Sierra Nevada. Paz Y Calma Bed and Breakfast (B&B)/Guesthouse is located 1.5kms above the Picturesque village of Castril set back in the mountainside and makes a great location for a rural retreat.

"Paz Y Calma" Bed and Breakfast (B&B)/Guesthouse is self contained and located on the ground floor. We live above the accommodation, giving guests the freedom to come and go as they like but we are always on hand for any questions, advice or just for a drink and a chat.

The village of Castril is a 15 minute walk downhill where you can enjoy tapas (a little free appetizer that is served with beer) free of charge in the few bars. There are also a couple local restaurants and several small shops, as well as two banks. Alternatively, Huescar and Baza make a good day out for shopping.

Alternatively you can go hiking along trails or cycling in the nearby Sierra de Castril/Sierra de Cazorla.

Facilities in the Bed and Breakfast (B&B) accommodation include:

Tea and Coffee is available free of charge throughout your stay
A fridge is available throughout your stay with soft drinks and beer to purchase at reasonable prices
Books available, to hire out, free of charge during your stay
CD/DVD Library
Hairdryer (available upon request)
Linen and Towels included (please bring your own towels for outings to the lakes or beaches)
A cot can be provided free of charge in double rooms
Traditional Shutters in place to keep the heat out during the summer months
Electric heaters are available for those colder evenings and winter days
Fans are available during the summer

Please note that bathrooms will be shared if we are fully booked.

We have one full sized bathroom which consists of bath, shower, bidet, washbasin and toilet. The other is a shower room which consists of shower, washbasin and toilet.

Overnight Stays

Looking at houses in the Castril area. No problem, we can provide you with one or more nights and send you on your way with a healthy meal inside you!

We will be happy to put you in contact with local Estate Agents selling resale and new homes in rural Spain, prior to your visit if interested.

Couples

Perhaps you would like to experience a romantic weekend break to get away from it all in the natural park of Castril.

Families

Our accommodation is ideal if you have children. Mum and dad can have the privacy of their own room while they can sleep across the hall in safety. We also have a selection of games available to keep them happy, as well as a selection of videos and books.

We have a selection of games available to keep your children happy and they are welcome to sit in the lounge and watch a film during the summer months if it is too warm for them outside.

General

An Ironing Board and Iron will be available for guests to use.

What you eat and drink and where you have it is down to you.

Breakfast can be included in your price or you may stay on a "room only" basis if you prefer.

Breakfast can be eaten on the terrace during the summer months/or in the lounge if you prefer. Sit back, read a book and enjoy the peace and quiet whilst taking in the tremendous views.

During the cooler months we serve breakfast in the lounge.

Breakfast will be a Continental breakfast with tea/coffee & orange juice.

Evening Meals

We do not currently offer evening meals but are able to recommend restaurants serving a variety of food for lunch and evening meals (children are most welcome in all restaurants in Spain). We can also arrange to take and collect you to enable you to enjoy the local drinks in the nearby village.

If you want to take a stroll down to the village in the evening for a drink or evening meal, and don't want the uphill walk home, we will be happy to collect you up until 11.30pm (if we are able to do so).
