During the summer months pools open in the local and surrounding areas. There are 2 man-made beaches within 25 minutes of Castril where you will find pedlows available to hire.
Canoeing and Caving takes place locally in the Sierra de Castril - details can be obtained from the restaurant in the Sierra de Castril (they do mainly speak Spanish - so be prepared to bring your phrase book)!
Photography, painting and drawing are all very popular in the region as there are so many places to take advantage of the natural outstanding beauty of rural Spain.
Off season, rambling and cycling are very popular. The weather, although much cooler, remains mild throughout the autumn and winter months. Jumpers and jackets will be required as the evening get very chilly during the winter months.
